Fun... that's right- at Bernards!
Thanks to Bernard's parents for letting us stay that late... all the way till 1030. Since I got there at 1030 myself yesterday. Much appreciated. You must be thinking... me at Bernards? hah!
keke... the party was at Bernard's yesterday, and never before did i think i could actually kick arse in any fighting game, namingly 'Soul Calibre' which i had quite the winning streak with my 'button-bashing' skills; till it all came apart when everyone learnt the 'real' way of playing, leaving me desperately behind in skill level. But that didn't stop me kicking in 'Mario Kart' hah..! Was first, but then finished second behind Tony by only miniscules of a second. But i was literally smashed out of the arena in 'Smash Bros' but at least i learnt some of the moves to practice next time. heh. Watching William and Alex continually hit the turnip (peach i think) like baseball (ness) was somewhat funny, notice the somewhat.
Other sights were to be seen when the PS2 took centre stage with that game- what's it called again? with the ghastly and unusual combination of fantastic and wicked Japanese characters with the boring and often bland Disney characters... I don't seem to remember the name- Kingdom Knights?, but I remember that it wasn't too bad- saved by the Jap animation and the well-known English speakers... ie. Haley Joel Osment and David Boreanaz.
Those that were there included Chiqui himself, with bike and all, William, Alex, Tony, and that's it- I better not have forgotten anyone. Thanks to Bernard and brother Ivan for letting us stay that long. And the food was fantastic, and the funny thing was that none of us wanted seconds, even at the request of Bernard himself trying reverse pyschology on us. i knew what he was doing myself, hah, so how am i spose to fall for it?
I must admit that standing on Belmore station at 1030 at night, even with Chiqui and his weapon (bike) along with Bernard and Ivan surrounded by distasteful people (drunkards, you know what, etc.) was frightening. But once on the train, where there was a surprising number of people, it was better. Then Chiqui and i counted the stations, and i noted how we weren't going to get our connection on the blue line... which i falsely assumed as the case since there was no-one on the platform at Sydenham. Once we got onto the platform getting off the Belmore train, the Hurstville one arrived almost instantaneosuly, and for those that dont know the station, we had to dash from platform 1 to 6; problem being that Chiqui had a massive bike to carry as well. Thankfully, the train was held up by equally slow people, so we got on. But that minute seemed like a lot more than that with Chiqui crashing into innocent bystanders with that bike around his head... hah, thank god for that.
I got to Rockdale at about 1100 and to my disgust there were no taxis, so i had to walk home, which took me about 20mins. But it was okay because the streets were suprisingly packed with people as well as cars yesterday night, but still some areas were still stunningly dark- ie my street, and the shortcut i took. Hah, i didnt get abducted and im here to tell this story, which shows that this place isnt too bad, is it? Let me not jump to conclusions yet...
(Thanks again to Bernard, and everyone.)
