Diary of today.

8:50 -> arrive. late. but they dont care

9:30-10 -> box listing... ie detail what files are in a box. it's harder than you think. sample sentence: 'black lever arch folder labelled 'blah' containing affidavits and summons dated blah.' note the gap between 8:50 and 9:30- bludge and up to Irenes on level 30 (im on 29).

10-10:45-5? -> finding correspondence of all accounts receivables in a document (company in liquidation). i basically spent all day doing it coz i had it opened on my table all day pretending to do it coz she didnt tell me when to give it back to her.

11:09 -> the 5min talk! hah, Kathleen came over and gave me 'the talk', which the group was talking about all morning and i was thinking wtf are they talking about? well it was basically in one sentence- 'don't think all you do in insolvency (what im doing) is only faxing, sending mail and photocopying files.'- which i already knew coz i read every document they give me! then she tried to make me feel better by saying that the other day she was photocopying and faxing all day. doesnt work on me! then she explained what she was doing today, and what i was doing- ie those files and why i was looking for receivables correspondence etc -> coz they factored out the function, and i felt better knowing what i was doing at last.

10:45-11:25 -> boring times. reading the manual containing wages, conditions, entitlements, rules, regulations. told to go to a lady to collect files for the receivables, but couldnt be bothered. reading though client files. getting more sleepy.

11:25 -> went down 1 level to deliver a letter to floor 28 for someone. at least it woke me up somewhat.

11:30 -> went to Mary to get the files and found out she was nice, and so we talked for a while.

11:45-12 -> told to deliver a letter to PWC?! damn, bad memories. uh oh, hunger setting in now. about 1 hour till lunch. had some stuff to eat- biscuits which sounded so loud in the tranquility in the office.

12-12:40 -> went to Irene (HR person) to clear some tax stuff, then went realised i was paying for HECS out of my salary. that ruined my day. then i went to PWC to deliver letter with Jason and Hamad (cadets) so we wouldn't be bored shitless and took our time. what was meant to take about 10mins took about 40.

1:10-2:20 -> lunch break time. notice there was 30mins in between these 2 entries? i did some photocopying and general bludge. went to pitt st mall food court, waited around 20mins for seats for us 3, then sat down and ate. i had sushi again- this time 3 rolls instead of 2, they had crepe (took 20mins alone in the queue) and chicken... a bit too expensive for me. though i had a cone, which cost me an additional 40c! by the time we bought the cone, it was past 2 already.

okay this is where it starts to get hazy coz i actually fell asleep.

2-5 -> i just sat there with the file for most of the time 'pretending' to be working on it while i was on the net (legitimately mind you) looking at ASIC and other legal sites etc, but i think thats what drove me to sleep. i went round to Hamad's and watched him to stuff, went downstairs to breath fresh air, went back up to drink water and heaps of it. drinking water helps when im bored, coz you need to go to the toilet- gotta do something.

5:15 -> left premises, met up with ji and jackson at pitt st mall.
