Early September of 1999, Hasbro announced that it would purchase Wizards of the Coast, an independent hobby company famous for card games such as Magic: The Gathering.

Following these events, criticism emerged as loyal customers and hobbyist realise they will be losing what they want and their say to a giant toy corporation.

Following the takeover, all hell broke loose.

Reminder to self: Wizards do not own Yugi-Oh, Konami does, one of the biggest gaming/ broadcasting corporations in Japan, networthing more than 48 billion yen.
